Elys Rendón is the incredible artist who illustrated the series of children's books Stories of an Unhurried Childhood.
Born in San Juan de los Morros, Guarico State, Venezuela. From an early age, she showed ability and taste for drawing; at 10 years old, she began her studies guided by her uncle, professor Armando Rendón, illustrator and painter. She also studies drawing in a self-taught way.
In 2002, she got the degree of Graphic Designer in Caracas. With over 20 years of experience in graphic design, illustration, advertising and branding, she has worked for companies such as Venevisión, Sun Channel, Teravision Technologies, Ticketmundo, as well as other independent audiovisual and production companies.
She has also took part as a singer in productions en Venezuela such as the musical Jesus Christ Superstar (UCV and Valencia 2010), backing vocalist for Venezuelan artists such as Liana Malva and Victor Drija, actress, dubbing singer and session vocalist. Passionate about music, she studied musical composition at the Ars Nova Music School.
She is currently still working in graphic design, illustration and music, as well as in the production company she formed with other musician colleagues (aurealistic.com), creating audiovisual content for artists, services and brands.
